FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clear answers.
A considered start.
Practical questions about arranging protection, choosing the right service and taking the next step.
01Can I arrange protection for one day, a particular event or a journey?
Yes. You can enquire about a defined assignment as well as ongoing cover. Tell us the dates, locations and who needs protection. We will consider the planning and personnel required, confirm availability and agree the scope before making arrangements.
02Will people notice that I have protection?
The approach is shaped around your circumstances and assessed risk. Executive protection can be discreet, with operators dressed and working appropriately for your environment. Protective surveillance provides an alternative for clients who want coverage without a visibly identifiable security presence. We will discuss what level of visibility is practical and appropriate.
03How does protective surveillance differ from executive protection?
Executive protection generally provides a closer protective presence around the client. Protective surveillance maintains more unobtrusive coverage, using specialist observation and counter-surveillance skills alongside the capability to intervene. It is a standalone protective service, rather than simply a team reporting to a visible protection team. Suitability depends on the circumstances and ability to respond effectively.

We can discuss coordinated arrangements covering family life, residences and travel. This may combine residential protection operatives, personal protection, advance work and travel planning. Responsibilities and continuity between the different elements are agreed during preparation.
05What determines the cost?
The main factors are the assignment’s duration, working hours, team size, locations, assessed risk and the preparation required. Travel, accommodation, vehicles and specialist support may also affect the proposal. We provide a scoped quotation and explain what is included before you commit.
06How much notice do you need?
Earlier contact gives more time to assess the requirement and prepare the right arrangements. Short-notice requests can be considered, subject to availability and the practical demands of the assignment. We confirm what can be delivered after reviewing your needs; there is no automatic deployment timeframe.
07Can a family office or adviser arrange services on my behalf?
Yes. We can work with an authorised family-office representative, personal assistant, trusted adviser or existing security manager. We agree the points of contact, decision-making arrangements and what information needs to be shared so that the client’s requirements remain clear.
08Where is Vawzen based, and can you support international travel?
Vawzen is based in Toronto, Canada, with an established base in UK. We serve clients across North America and can discuss international assignments. Coverage is confirmed for the specific destination, dates and requirement, including appropriate local arrangements.
09Can I commission a residential survey or security review without hiring a protection team?
Yes. Residential site surveys and independent security risk management can be commissioned separately. We agree the assessment scope and deliverables, then explain the findings and priorities. There is no requirement to commission operative coverage as part of that review.
Explore security risk management10Are your protection operators medically trained?
Yes. Our protection operators are trained as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) or Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs). Medical readiness is included in protective planning, with immediate assistance provided within each operator’s qualifications and appropriate arrangements for further medical support.
11Do you provide protection driving and secure transport?
Protection driving and secure transport can be included within an executive protection assignment. We discuss the itinerary, driving and protection responsibilities, vehicle needs and local support during planning. Any specialist transport arrangements are confirmed as part of the agreed scope.
12What should I include in an initial enquiry?
A brief outline of the service you are considering, who needs support, the general location and approximate dates is enough to begin. Please keep initial information general. Sensitive personal, medical or operational details can be discussed through an appropriate follow-up channel.
