SECURITY RISK MANAGEMENT / TORONTO & INTERNATIONAL

Security risk management.
Turn uncertainty into strategy.

Independent advice for families and organisations who want to understand their exposure and make informed decisions about security. Available as a standalone service.

INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN

Assess the need.
Then consider the solution.

Good advice should help you decide what is necessary, what is effective and what deserves attention first.

We examine your circumstances and existing arrangements to identify credible threats, vulnerabilities and the potential consequences of an incident. The scope can cover people, property, travel, business activity and reputation, depending on the requirement.

The assessment considers the measures already in place as well as the gaps. Recommendations are prioritised so that decisions about personnel, technology and procedures follow the assessed risk.

FROM ASSESSMENT TO ACTION

A clearer picture.
A practical way forward.

01

Define the scope

We establish what needs protecting, the concerns behind the review and the decisions the assessment must support. This includes understanding routines, responsibilities, assets, locations and any constraints on proposed changes.

02

Examine exposure

Relevant threat information, site observations, vulnerabilities and existing controls are considered together. We assess how plausible incidents could affect the client and where current arrangements may be insufficient, inconsistent or unnecessarily intrusive.

03

Set priorities

Findings are translated into a prioritised set of recommendations. We explain the purpose of proposed measures, the gaps they address and the practical considerations involved in implementing them. Urgent concerns are distinguished from longer-term improvements.

04

Support implementation and review

Where included in the agreed scope, we can help coordinate improvements, review proposals from providers and assess whether changes achieve their intended purpose. Arrangements can be revisited as the client’s circumstances or exposure evolve.

WHAT YOU TAKE AWAY

Findings you can use.
Decisions you can explain.

The deliverables are agreed at the outset. A review may include documented findings, a prioritised action plan and a discussion with the client or their advisers to explain the recommendations.

You can commission independent advice without committing to a protection team or a particular product. If operational support would be appropriate, that can be considered separately once the requirement is understood.

A CONSIDERED NEXT STEP

Start with the question
you need answered.

Whether you are reviewing an existing programme or starting from scratch, we can agree an assessment focused on your priorities.
